Hi Everyone

I was hoping to connect with others who miht have zataar recipes...

I realize some might be just proportional and that is fine.
I also realize they vary greatly; Three I like and would love to make at home are:
Lebanese
Turkish (more red sumac)
Tunisian more brownish-green

Thank you!

HI Mimi,
I have a recipe that I use for zaatar:
1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
1 cup dried thyme
3 tbs sumac
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp marjoram

I love this recipe, it comes out great. I do use American thyme that I dry. Store in an air tight container :)

The link you provided is for a video to a recipe *requiring* zataar.
The video says one can buy pre-mixed zataar mixes on the site.

I am seeking a few different recipes with which to mix my own;
all seem to have thyme and sesame seeds, some have varying amounts of:
sumac, marjoram, oregano, cumin, salt, etc

I suspect the thyme used is not the same as that in America and wanted more information ont hat too

Thank you
