This is in reply to Dede about what city I had eaten the mystery dish! Couldn't figure out how to post a comment!!!
I sampled this dish in Shelby Township, Michigan. That's about 25 miles north of Detroit. It was at a new market. The guy at the counter said he thinks the woman who let me taste the dish was his Mom! My son-in-law is Chaldean and he is the one who turned me on to this new market...but they seem to have products from all the Mediterranean countries. I really like the market.
Could you also give me a clue about replying to a comment?

Comment by DedeMed on September 6, 2009 at 7:54pm - Hey P R Shull, you will have to give me some time on that one and maybe remind me later, but Chaldean food can sometimes be Iraqi food and I am not really familiar with that. I m from Dearborn so I will have to ask some of my Chaldean friends. I ll keep you posted.
