My blender broke a while back and am hoping this will work with an immersion blender (and hey, why not?). My suggestion is to use what you have and feel comfortable with. Eat well!

Thank you for the welcome note. Can you tell me if milk that is getting close to expiration date or is beginning to spoil can be turned into Leban and continued to be used rather than thrown out as bad milk?

Envy the freedom of your life-style. Sounds like you're getting the most out of it. Now, I'm in north-central Louisiana, but we still cook cajun - with spices. Don't tolerate heavy doses of cayenne though. One of my fail safe recipes is for Shrimp Creole. I don't know how to post recipes on this forum, but would be willing to share some of my favorite. Am on my way to Baton Rouge to help take care of a grand baby, who is under the weather, so his parents can go to work. While there I'm hoping to find the impossible ingredient Kataifi for my Kanafeh. I have craved that dish for over 40 years!

Hey Airave, see that you are in Germany. Lived for a short period in Bremerhaven in 1965. I don't cook much anymore. Did for my family for over 25 years. We have the same interests - French, Italian, Spanish, Mexican (mother is Mexican). Also love Indian food. Don't know anything about Turkish food however. Bet it's great though. One of these days I'll post a picture. Just don't know the technology at the moment. Thanks for the welcome.

Thank you for the welcome. I just LOVE DeDeMed's cooking videos and look to be buying some of her spices. Can't wait to sway some cooking ideas with all of you here.

Well as far as the Cuisine section of my profile...I would say it is an interest in all those, rather than being familiar with them all...but I'm working on collecting recipes and cookbooks for world cuisine. I have several on wish lists on several websites and am working on budgeting my urge to buy them all :o)
